The HRD Memorial is an initiative set up by REDHAC and its Country Coalitions which are committed to working together to collect and verify information on HRDs, WHRDs and child HRDs who have lost their lives; and whose death was linked to their activities to promote and protect human rights.

The project is launched in 2024 with the mandate of collecting real-time data on HRD homicides, but also historical data on all homicides dating back to 2007: the date of creation of REDHAC.

In other words, the HRD Memorial aims to highlight the extent of the killings of HRDs in Central Africa, to provide a basis for conducting effective advocacy and campaigns to put an end to the killings and to keep alive the memory of those HRDs who were killed.
