In Central Africa, defending human rights remains an act of extreme courage. Arbitrary arrests, threats, violence, forced exile: for many human rights defenders, this commitment comes at a high price. Faced with this reality, REDHAC takes action.

Each year, we:

  • provide emergency
  • protection and relocation for human rights defenders and their families in danger;
    support young women and girls who have survived violence in their recovery and empowerment;
  • conduct conflict prevention and resolution activities in fragile contexts, including fostering social cohesion within communities through inter-community dialogue and the establishment of peace clubs;
  • ensure rigorous research and documentation of violations; and
    and activate early warning mechanisms to prevent the escalation of conflicts.

But these actions, vital as they are, remain limited without adequate infrastructure.

Today, we are undertaking a major, transformative project: THE CREATION OF A REGIONAL REFERENCE CENTER, a safe and structured space dedicated to the protection, support, and capacity building of human rights actors. This Regional Reference Center is vital for our communities and for the states of Central Africa because, for us, building a refuge means protecting lives and transforming the future.

This center will be:

  • A safe haven for human rights defenders in danger and their families;
  • A welcoming and supportive space for women and girls who are victims of all forms of violence;
  • A hub for training, conflict prevention, and mediation;
  • A regional hub for research, documentation, and early warning.

Why your support is crucial:
This center will save lives. It will strengthen community resilience. It will help prevent crises and build lasting peace.

But to make it a reality, we need you.

We invite all our partners and supporters to join us in bringing this project, full of hope and lasting impact, to fruition.

  • Every contribution counts:
  • To protect a threatened human rights defender,
  • To provide a safe space for a survivor,
  • To prevent conflict before it erupts.

Investing in this center means investing in human dignity, justice, and peace in Central Africa.

Together, we can protect more, prevent conflict effectively, and build a fairer future.

NEVER GIVE UP
