The “Proposed law on the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights Defenders in Cameroon” was contextualized on March 21, 2021 in the city of Douala in the presence of a representative of the Directorate of Human Rights and the Cooperation of the Ministry of Justice, a senator of the Republic of Cameroon, a representative of the Cameroon Human Rights Commission (CDHC), the former Secretary General of the National Commission on Human Rights and Freedoms (CNDHL), journalists, lawyers and several civil society organizations. This bill has been submitted to the Senate office since November 17, 2021 by Senator Dr. Pierre Flambeau NGAYAP, Co-PCA of REDHAC.
